Went with a buddy. Beautiful day. Pretty much had the place to ourselves. Pictures tell the rest of the story.

A very different kind of fly fishing.

I am going tomorrow, looks like it will be snowy. I hope the road is in ok shape for the trip down to the canyon. Nice fish!

I just realized something about your 3rd photo(where you broke your rod). The sunday after Thanksgiving, I hooked 5 different fish in that run from top to bottom. Lost 3 on the fight and landed the other 2 and one of them I lost I seriously cried afterwards. He was a legitimate pig! I was lucky to see him. They were playing with the river levels during that time and I was actually fishing it from the other side and there really was no way to keep your footing, but it was worth it. I was pretty much worn out after the battles with each of those fish.
