Iwamasa Flies

Iwamasa Burnt Wing BWO Dun In 1989 Iwamasa Flies was published by Pruett Publishing. It was a hit and if you are lucky enough to find a collectors edition you will pay handsomely for it.

Ken Iwamasa ties very unique and beautiful flies. I found a source for Ken’s flies at Trout Flies and ordered several of his burnt wings with the upright ‘sail-wing’ profile. His burnt wing duns are works of art. At only $1.65 each they are also a steal, considering how well they are made.

I’ll be trying them out the first chance I get and will let you know how it goes.

He has a really interesting way of doing the wings with those sail feathers and the hurl or hair or whatever that is on the sides I would like to watch him tie that a few times just to see how he does it. I hope they work for you be sure to let us know how they do.
