The Forum after 3 weeks

It’s been 3 weeks since the Tattered Fly Forum was launched and the response has been great. It’s no small feat to start a discussion forum from scratch especially when there are other well established alternatives in cyberspace. What makes Tattered Fly different is that the discussions are local, but open to anyone to participate.
In the forum you will find a sneek peak of the new Locations and Fishing Reports section of the website where you can leave your feedback and impressions about the new section.
A few stats. 30 users are now registered and there have been nearly 60 posts created. Take a look at sleestak’s night fishing pictures or the great information RenegadeGary provides on Clear Lake. I’ve also split up the Idaho Waters section into Idaho Rivers and Idaho Stillwaters so the “tubers” get their own room.
If you have any suggestions about the discussion forum be sure to drop me a line and let me know what your thinking. I’m all ears.
And just a reminder that the contest for the prize package ends on November 15. So you have one week left to get registered and post at least one entry to become eligible for the drawing.

Dan,
Fish reports from 50 locations! Will these reports be through a link to another site? How often will the reports be updated? Will you be accepting viewer submitted fish reports per location? How many more questions am I going to ask????? Sorry.
Everything looks great!
I hope you and your family are doing well.

Initially not all the locations will have fishing reports. I am partnering with fishing guides to provide reports on the more popular waters. And I may be accepting reader submitted reports. I still have to work out the logistics on that one. I don’t currently have a good way to allow users to update the reports. It means I would have to update from emails that are sent, a manual and tedious process.
