Big Springs

Not every stop along a river on my recent Yellowstone trip resulted in fishing. On the way up to Yellowstone we stopped by Big Springs on the Henry’s Fork. Crystal clear spring water bubbles out of the ground at 200 CFS and a bridge crosses the outlet where you can look down and see big, and I mean BIG rainbows. I saw a couple in the 26-28 inch range.

It’s against regulations to fish Big Springs to its confluence with the Henry’s fork but its fun to watch the big trout and… wish.

Enjoy the pictures.
